Privacy Policy

PourRadar ("PourRadar," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the PourRadar Android application accesses, uses, stores, and shares information.

1. Information We Collect

Location information

PourRadar can use your device location when you choose to use your current location so the app can find happy hour deals near you. Location access is optional; you may instead search by city or ZIP code.

When device location is used, coordinates are transmitted securely to PourRadar's backend to determine the nearby service area and return relevant listings. PourRadar does not intentionally use precise GPS coordinates for advertising. A less precise service-area identifier may be retained for system operation, troubleshooting, analytics, and performance measurement.

App activity and merchant-performance analytics

PourRadar collects limited pseudonymous usage and operational information to understand how the app performs, improve happy-hour discovery, and measure how users engage with venue listings. This may include:

• App opens, searches, refresh outcomes, view and filter changes
• Generalized search categories and result counts
• Venue and deal impressions, including general placement and list position
• Venue opens, directions taps, source-link opens, and favorite add/remove actions
• Whether a displayed deal was happening now or shown in a sponsored placement
• App version and a generalized PourRadar service-area identifier
• Randomly generated installation/session identifiers used in pseudonymous or hashed form

These metrics are intended to support product analytics and aggregate venue-performance reporting. PourRadar does not intentionally send raw free-text search terms or precise GPS coordinates through its internal analytics telemetry.

Information stored on your device

PourRadar may store favorites, recent searches, cached listings, app preferences, and related information locally on your device.

2. Advertising

PourRadar uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob to display advertising and Google's User Messaging Platform to manage applicable privacy and consent choices.

Google advertising technologies may collect or process information such as IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app interactions, diagnostic and performance information, advertising identifiers, App Set ID, or other device identifiers. Advertising data may be used by Google for advertising, analytics, security, fraud prevention, and related purposes. PourRadar does not intentionally attach the phone's precise PourRadar GPS coordinates to advertising requests.

3. Third-Party Services

PourRadar uses third-party service providers including:

• Supabase for backend database and server infrastructure
• Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising
• Google User Messaging Platform for advertising consent management
• Google Play Integrity for security, abuse prevention, and app integrity verification

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and applicable agreements.

4. Data Security

PourRadar uses encrypted HTTPS connections for data transmitted between the app and its backend services. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information handled by PourRadar.

5. Accounts

PourRadar does not currently require users to create an account or sign in.

6. Children

PourRadar is intended for adults and is not designed or directed toward children. The app contains information relating to restaurants, bars, alcoholic beverages, drink specials, and happy hour promotions.

7. Data Retention

Locally stored app information remains on the device until it is cleared, overwritten, or the app is removed. Backend analytics and operational information may be retained for legitimate business, analytics, security, service-improvement, merchant reporting, and abuse-prevention purposes.

8. Your Choices

• Decline location permission and search by city or ZIP code instead
• Change Android location permissions through device settings
• Clear PourRadar's locally stored data through Android settings
• Use available privacy and advertising controls provided in PourRadar
• Manage Android advertising identifiers using Android privacy settings

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as PourRadar changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
